Carlos Van Vleet Founded Van Vleet Meat

Carlos came from background in working for a handful of meat companies prior to going off on his own
Offered wholesale beef, pork, poultry, deli meats.
Total of 3 people

1983

Carlos' son Bill begins working for him.

increased to 6 employees.
started offering cheese, seafood and eggs.

1991

Bill began managing the company.

1993

Bill purchases the business.

2010

Van Vleet Meat is changed to Van Vleet Meat & Food Service

This was to incorporate dry goods and paper products to become more broadline and aim to be a superior independent food service distributor.

2019

Van Vleet celebrated 40 years in business.

As a second-generation owner, Bill remains deeply involved in all aspects of the business and always looking to continue growth, which depends on our reputation for quality, integrity, and service.
